Kevin's Story

I didn't start out as a teacher trainer, I started out as a teenage magician. That's right: magic. Kids' birthdays mostly (it helped that I could do balloon animals). It was on stage where I fell in love with being in front of a crowd, where I developed a voice.

I think this is what drew me to teaching initially—the feeling of it being a kind of performance.

My love of public speaking combined with 18 years of being a teacher—and sitting in PD sessions that felt like a waste of time—is what led me to start KRS Educational Consulting (which is just a fancy LLC name umbrella that allows me to do what I love: talk to other educators).

My program combines the most up to date, research-backed information on Multilingual learners, Sheltered Instruction, Translanguaging, and Neurolinguistics to offer tangible ways to reach the exact students an international teacher needs to: students whose first language isn't English.

I currently work with international schools across Vietnam (over 60 teachers trained this year!) to help their teachers think about the skills and strategies that will help them succeed in their classrooms.

If your school is thinking about certifying your teachers to work with multilingual learners, let's talk.

Facilitation Style

Kevin's approach is designed to be as dynamic as the classrooms he supports. By blending the showmanship of a magician with the heart of a coach, he creates an environment where teachers feel inspired to grow.

Dynamic Engagement

I use energetic facilitation techniques to keep participants actively involved. Whether it's a full-day workshop or a half-day session, the goal is to transform passive listeners into active problem-solvers.

Practical Tools

Every session is packed with classroom-ready tools and practical strategies. I focus on the 'how' rather than just the 'what,' ensuring that teachers leave with immediate, actionable takeaways.

Personal Coaching

My coaching is deeply personal. I don't just teach methods; I partner with teachers to refine their unique instructional voice and build the confidence needed to lead in a multicultural setting.
